We have thoroughly enjoyed body boarding on sandsend beach, rock pooling at Runswick, fish and chips in Whitby, history in Helmsley, Riveaux and Whitby Abbey, swimming in Helmsley and Staithes harbour, feeding the donkeys on the farm, playing with Alfie and enjoying all the wildlife – especially good in the morning.Saw lots and lots of stars, moving satelites and even the International space station and a bat in the night sky. We made a wish on a shooting star that we could come back soon…..”

A perfect base for a brilliant family holiday. The beautiful cottages and loads of outdoor space have been fantastic. Tilly and Eadie have especially enjoyed the donkeys and other animals. Many thanks to Helen, Ian, Ed and Milly for being wonderful hosts and making us feel very welcome and comfortable. We have fallen in love with this part of the country and hope to come and stay here again at Rose Cottage very soon.
